Departing from Sami (Kefalonia) at 11.30 am on 21/11, we traveled with sea and headwind (maximum 10 knots) by motor, helped by the mainsail for the most part, route on Roccella Ionica (Calabria). We arrived on 23/11 at 01.00 mooring on the quay of the gas station and then take the next morning place in the marina. Here we discovered with great surprise a beautiful community of sailors who spend the winter in Roccella without missing anything: yoga classes, barbecue, to which we were promptly invited by John and his wife where we showed up with a fantastic tzatziki retrieving the Greek supplies.
We also met a flying Dutchman moored next to Path from Croatia where he bought an Elan 42 headed to Holland only with autopilot out of order and problems with starting the engine, a real tough guy who does not lose heart in the barrel of beer. We wait for a heavy disturbance to pass to head for Reggio Calabria.
