Explore the Ionian Islands on a Sailing Boat: The Journey of 2024!

We will travel through a splendid scenario among green islands emerging from an emerald sea, amidst the myths and history of ancient Greece. We will taste dishes from the local cuisine, anchor in exclusive bays, and sail with the help of Aeolus on modern catamarans guided by experienced and qualified skippers ready to teach sailing techniques for those who desire it. Navigating these waters does not involve long transfers; most movements, in fact, cover short distances in calm waters where the wind is always present, providing tranquil sailing in a sea dotted with countless islands.

Expert Guides
Our skippers (national sailing instructors) are great connoisseurs of the area. We chose to sail among these islands because we believe it is the most beautiful place in the Mediterranean to fully enjoy a sailing holiday, even for those experiencing it for the first time. We know the most beautiful and accessible places, selected based on both the offer and quality, chosen according to the period and weather forecasts.

Outline of the Program
From Sami or Lefkada (base ports, reachable by plane or ferry depending on the choice), we set sail north, stopping in a bay for an initial swim in the splendid waters of the Ionian Sea. In the evening, we reach Fiscardo, where we can dine on the boat or reach the town with a pleasant walk. In the morning, we visit the white beaches northwest of Itaca, then head to Lefkada, where we can stop in Nidri, a lively town rich in shops. From Lefkada, passing by Skorpios (famous as the former island of Onassis) to Meganisi. The tour continues with the discovery of Kalamos and Kastos, small islands with beautiful bays and beaches. We head to Ithaca passing through Atokos, where we can dive into an exclusive cove. And then the discovery of the beauties of Ithaca: Kioni, Vathi. From here, we head southeast to finally return to Sami. If we’re ahead of schedule in Sami, through a beautiful forest path, we’ll visit the Acropolis of Sami, an archaeological site of great beauty. The program may undergo variations due to weather conditions and/or indications from the Skipper. With departure from Lefkada, the tour is practically the same with the first stop in Meganisi and departure and arrival in Lefkada.

Sustainable Travel
We will sail among the islands, making stops in splendid bays rather than ports, to enjoy the sea, nature, and Italian and Greek cuisine on board. However, there will be land stops, with visits to the charming villages of the Greek islands and their taverns full of culinary delights from the heirs of Ulysses. We will share onboard spaces, respecting our fellow travelers and, above all, the places we visit, being mindful to minimize our impact on nature and the surrounding ecosystem. On a boat, you learn to measure the use of resources.
